To help assess the fit between a donor and potential recipient, you can view a side-by-side comparison of their HLA. You access the comparison display from an allocation recommendation.

Comparing donor-recipient HLA values

To view a comparison between donor and recipient HLA typing:

  1. Go to the donor profile, then select Organ > Allocation / eOffer on the sidebar (for the donated organ you want to see the HLA comparison for).

  2. Scroll to the Allocation Recommendation Listing section.

  3. Select the Last Name for the recipient whose HLA details you want to see.

  4. Select the HLA tab.

  5. To see more detailed information about the recipient’s HLA typing and antibodies, select Recipient HLA on the upper right corner of the window.

    • The system presents the HLA section of the recipient’s profile in a new browser tab.

  6. To close the Recipient Information window select the X in the upper right corner (or press escape).
