Where suitability assessment is not complete at the time of distribution, ongoing suitability assessment will continue and the CSC will inform the transplant program(s) of any results still pending. Once the suitability assessment is complete, the CSC will update the Post-Release section with the required information.

  • iTransplant does not support Post-Release information; CSCs are responsible for updating the post release details directly in the donor profile in OATS.

  • Once results have been received and reported for a transplanted recipient, the system will send a notification to the transplant program that an eSignature is required to confirm ExD acceptance.

  1. Go to the donor’s profile, then select Donor Profile > Donor Information on the left side of the page.

  2. Select the box under Post-Release to indicate Yes.

  3. The system will present the following fields:

    1. Post Release Reason

    2. Results Received

    3. Results Received Date

    4. Results Received Time

    5. Results Reported

    6. Results Reason

    7. Results Reported Date

    8. Results Reported Time

  4. Enter the Post Release Reason and go to step 7.

  5. When the outstanding results become available, enter the details in the Results Received section:

    1. Results Received

    2. Results Received Date

    3. Results Received Time

    4. And go to step 7

  6. When the outstanding results are reported to the transplant programs, enter the details in the Results Reported section:

    1. Results Reported

    2. Results Reason

    3. Results Reported Date

    4. Results Received Time

  7. User clicks Save Donor Information.

The system:

  • Will send a notification to the transplant program that an eSignature is required to confirm ExD acceptance.

  • Will update the Notice of Exceptional Distribution form, which can be accessed by selecting the Download icon in the Save column in the donor Profile > Exceptional Distribution Disposition.
